After spending several days with a friend on the coastal hills of Nova Scotia this piece came to mind. As we'd sat on the rustic porch of his humble canvas tent, sipping morning coffees and pondering the steel blue Atlantic ocean below, conversation seemed to come through the silent meditations of admiring the clarity of the simple natural world around us. Two crows had playfully tumbled past, caught up in a game of tag in the strong current of a south wind spilling over a clearing of blueberry bushes. Their joyful banter had reminded me of the special time I'd shared with my friend in the surrounding area of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.
